Immediate: when performing a specific action like assigning a task to someone, an email is sent to warn this person of the assignation. An immediate warning is sent in the following case:
A user has been assigned to a topic or a task
A user has been mentioned in a topic
A comment has been chosen as a response
A sprint has started/ended
A stage has started /ended
You were invited to a project
You were invited to an organization
Digest: A digest email is sent daily containing all updates you should be aware of among all your projects.
Not all notification messages are equally relevant to you. Thankfully, you can customize notification to stay focused on the work that matters to you while turning down the volume on topics you find distracting.
To make notifications fit your personal preferences, navigate to your account's Settings and select Preferences.
By default, all notifications are set to true. You can simply select which notifications you want to turn on/off.
Note that the notifications for the following are always set to true and unchangeable:
You were invited to a project
You were invited to an organization
