The topic templates are helpful when you end up writing always the same tasks, description and settings. You can create a template for a recurring topic, set all the tasks needed and add a short description. Then anytime you have to do the job again, you can just create a topic duplicated from this template.
go to a topic page you want to duplicate
in the contextual menu choose the option "Duplicate"
a pop-up show with the details of the topic you want to copy
you can edit summary, description, and topic properties of your preference
you can choose to include duplicate of comment and task of the topic
the topic is duplicated
go to a topic list and click "Create a topic" button
a pop-up show with an option to "Create from an existing topic" with a selection list of all your topics
choose the existing topic you want to duplicate
you can choose to include duplicate of comment and task of the topic
the topic is created from an existing topic
It is not possible to duplicate topic to another project but from team to team inside the same project
If a project member had access to the topic in the team where it was before and is not part of the new team, he will not have access to it any more. So he need to ask project admin to invite him to the new team.
As teams could have distinct kanban workflows, duplicated topic to a new team is automatically set to "TO DO" state. So you need to change its workflow state if necessary.
